Getting to Wrangell

Getting to Wrangell, Alaska in an RV is a wonderful adventure. No matter which route you take to get to the Alaska Marine Highway System (ferry) it is a marvelous trip. From the “lower 48” you can depart from Bellingham, WA or you can drive to Prince Rupert, BC. Whichever direction you choose make sure you use Milepost magazine as your most trusted map and information guide. It will provide you with all the necessary information to come to “The Last Frontier”. It provides information like: campgrounds, fuel stops, and interesting sites along the way, and maps, maps, maps.
When you arrive in Wrangell you will be happy that you made your reservations with Alaska Waters, Inc. The friendly folks at Alaska Waters can provide you with jet boat tours of the Stikine River, AnAn Bear Observatory, LeConte/Petersburg, the “Little Norway” of southeast Alaska, as well as local tours of Wrangell. Alaska Waters has a full service RV park complete with free Wi-Fi. To be sure, the RV park will never be confused with one of those expensive “resort” parks down south but what is lacking in amenities is made up with friendliness, hospitality, and plain old “we are glad you are here” attitude. The managers provide campfires and free ice cream socials, weather permitting.
Come visit Wrangell for an experience of a lifetime, make new friends, and enjoy Alaska the way it was meant to be enjoyed, fun filled and adventurous. Wrangell truly is the secret of southeast Alaska, maybe the whole of Alaska.
