Stikine River Shorebird Rendezvous 2011

Avid birders will enjoy spring migration on the Stikine River.

Participants must arrive in Wrangell on before the morning of Friday May 6, 2011.

Alaska Airlines Flight 65 arrives from Seattle, WA to Wrangell daily at 9:19 am. Alaska Airlines Flight 64 departs from Wrangell, AK to Seattle, WA daily at 4:34 p.m.

TOUR DATES:

Friday May 6 - Monday May 9, 2011

TOUR ITINERARY:

MAY 6: Friday Afternoon.
Check into Stikine Inn, have lunch (no host) at the Stikine Inn. 2 pm departure on jet boats for Stikine River Delta. 4 hour tour.

MAY 7: Saturday Morning.
Depart City Float (in front of Stikine Inn) at 8:30 am. 4 hour tour to Stikine River Delta and lower river.

MAY 8: Sunday Afternoon.
Depart City Float (in front of Stikine Inn) at 2:00 pm. 4 hour tour saltwater shoreline exploration.

MAY 9: Monday Afternoon.
Bus pick-up at 6 am. Guided morning walking tour of birding area at Muskeg Meadows Golf Course. 3 hour tour.

Lodging 3 Nights
•  Three Nights Lodging and One Meal Voucher Per Day

Guided birding tours:
1. Friday MAY 6: 4 hour afternoon guided jet boats to Stikine Delta.
2. Saturday MAY 7: 4 hour morning guided jet boats to Stikine Delta and lower river.
3. Sunday MAY 8: 4 hour afternoon guided jet boats to Stikine Delta and lower river.
4. Monday MAY 9: 3 hour walking tour. Guided birding tour.
