Short-Eared Owl Release

End of Ishiyama Drive (Spur Road).  This injured owl was picked up at the end of Spur Road by Steve Prunella and Cori Robinson on 11/11/07.  It was sent to the Raptor Center in Juneau for rehabilitation.  It has now made a full recovery

US Fish and Wildlife Service- Migratory Bird Management

Topic: “Migratory Flyways and river deltas: the interstate highways and gas stations for shorebirds.” Dr. Lanctot will explore the importance of the Stikine river delta for migratory shorebirds along the Pacific flyway. Reviewing the many other flyways used by shorebirds that use different parts of the world during the winter.
